I offer writing, editing, communication strategy and creative consulting services. In association with talented graphic designers and art directors, I also can manage your project from concept through completion.

Writing. Because I focus on clear, concise, concrete, compelling writing, I have always been able to work in many forms, from short and snappy headlines to highly organized booklets and reports. As a former reporter, I enjoy interviewing clients, whether it’s to gather quotes for an article or just to improve my understanding of a topic. That reporting experience also has helped me be a quick study, getting up to speed on anything from gigabit Ethernet networks, to medical research, to the energy industry.

Editing. Perhaps you’ve outlined a web site or you’ve taken a first crack at a brochure, but it still needs the fresh perspective of an outsider. I can make that out-of-tune voice sing, that disjointed skeleton dance and that puddle of mud flow.

Communication Strategy Consulting. I will work with you to develop a clear, compelling message about your product, service or organization. And then I’ll create a plan to get your story out consistently, to the right audiences.

Creative Consulting. A creative concept is a way to frame a communication. It links your message to a bigger idea, often using verbal and visual metaphors to help your audience make a deeper emotional connection. I can develop a creative concept to make your communication stand out and make an impact.

Project Management. I have managed complex projects with multiple vendors and stakeholders as well as small brochures. I’ll draw on a talented pool of vendors to assemble a creative and production team. Together, we’ll take the burden off your shoulders and complete the project on-time and on-budget.
